SCIENTIFIC MISSION:
The science of Great Ape Trust seeks to understand the origins and future of culture, language, tool use and intelligence.

Research AUDIO/VIDEO

Over the last several years, a few courageous and brilliant scientists have devoted their lives to learning everything they can about the great apes. Their reports are consistent and remarkable. Bonobos, chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans are thinking, self-aware and intelligent beings. They clearly have the capacity to learn language. Imagine the implications and possibilities. The opportunity to learn more about primate communications is arguably the most critical and powerful new science emerging today. We are fortunate to have many of those researchers associated with Great Ape Trust.
