"Art has become for me a way to understand my relationship with the world."

Sue Buck, from Guys Mills, Pennsylvania has been an artist most of her life. Presently an art teacher at Allegheny College, Buck’s work has been represented through drawings, etchings, photography and filmmaking. She began creating ape images in 1995 and most recently has produced a series of colorful pastel chalk drawings of orangutans and bonobos at Great Ape Trust of Iowa.
